crackpot
Crackpot is my first children's book. It took a long time to get here, but thankfully, just like on the Simpsons, all the characters in my book stayed the same age until someone decided it was to be published.
Actually, that's not all true. When I first wrote Crackpot, Phoebe - the main protagonist - was 13 years old. Last year, when I was putting the final touches on the manuscript before it went to print, I decided to make Phoebe 12.
Nobody else in the book aged during the long incubation process, but Phoebe's actually gotten younger! (I don't know how she does it!)
